KAWS at Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Amazing day at YSP for the KAWS exhibition last week. Gutted to have missed the launch but glad I missioned it to check it out before it closed. The Longside Gallery exhibition ends this Sunday 12th June 2016, but the outdoor pieces are staying until the end of the year. Highly recommended!

Martha Cooper "Lifework" at Stolen Space
Passed through the Martha Cooper "Lifework" photography exhibition at Stolen Space on Saturday. I just missed her at the gallery, she was somewhere taking photos in the area. I found Brooklyn's "Elle" just finishing her piece off with "Eine" further up the road but no Martha. Anyway check the exhibition of classic Hip Hop images & newer work at Stolen Space, 17 Osborn Street, London, E1 6TD. Runs until 28.02.16 Further info here
Janette Beckman's Punk Rock Hip Hop Mash Up Exhibition
Checked out original Hip Hop documenter Janette Beckman's "Punk Rock Hip Hop Mash Up" exhibition at new London gallery space The Punctum on Saturday. The show consists of a mix of original black & white classic photography alongside colourful colabs with legendary New York Graffiti writers put together by Cey Adams. Also on display are a new series of punk mash ups by London artists including Swifty, Ian Wright & Hattie Stewart created especially for the exhibition.
It was dope to meet Janette at the gallery & hear stories about Def Jam's early days shooting the likes of the Beastie Boys, RUN DMC, EPMD, Slick Rick & more. I had to get my copy of 'RAP' signed, her rare '90's photography book. I look forward to future mash ups!
The exhibition runs until Sunday 31st January 2016 at The Punctum Gallery, 16 John Islip Street, London SW1P 4JU (Next to Tate Britain) Facebook page here
